Mike Davies

One of the founding consultants at D-Drop Consulting, Mike has worked in the technology sector for 25 years.  After a short career in the private sector, he set up Centrality Ltd in 1996, with the primary aim of delivering the best technology user experience possible.  He strongly believed then, as he does now, that technology should serve the best interests of organisations and their teams and not be a constraint or barrier. 

In recent years Mike has taken a step back from the day to day running of that business, and now spends his time working with senior business leaders to ensure their technology solutions are fit for today and the future.

In addition Mike owns a software development company which has recently re-architected their core product set to be cloud native, giving him valuable insight in to the emerging trends most organisations will begin to face, namely that of traditional IT becoming a commodity service that just works, with organisations needing to innovate rapidly in the digital space in order to remain competitive.

Mike’s core values run through his companies and work ethic. He always provides the highest quality products and services, delivered through his passion for ensuring his client always have the right solution.  This in turn, delivers industry leading ideas and delivery.

Mike has worked with clients across many sectors including hospitality, retail, education, public sector, technology, financial and professional services. He is incredible at explaining solutions to clients in a ‘non-tech’ way. Time and time again Mike receives feedback for this strength, a unique combination of being able to understand and converse fluently and with confidence to both senior leadership and technical teams.

Mike is often requested as a consultant for strategic reviews. Mostly, these companies are either frustrated with, or very keen to move away from their current technology situation, but are unsure how to get started or progress properly.  He is able to learn and understand quickly the current situation and then deliver an extremely comprehensive and understandable solution.

Mike lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and two children, when not working he enjoys cooking, cycling and skiing.
